Cleveland – Tap Packaging + Design recently took home the Excellence Award in Sustainability, Digital Application, and Innovation at the Paperboard Packaging Council’s (PPC) 78th Annual North American Paperboard Packaging Competition. The packaging designs recognized in PPC’s competition represent some of the best folding cartons and rigid boxes manufactured over the past year.

The award was received for Tap’s work on The Art of Shaving – Four Elements Starter Kit. This gift box features a rigid set-up box with a printed, lined interior, a corrugated insert that holds products of varying sizes and depths, and a digitally printed and hot foil stamped SBS sleeve. The box is completely recyclable having replaced the old plastic tray and large plastic window with sustainable paperboard material.

“On behalf of the Paperboard Packaging Council, I congratulate all of this year’s deserving winners,” said Ben Markens, President of PPC. “To be recognized in our competition is a feat, demonstrating mastery in design, manufacturing, distribution, shelf presence, and much more. It is a true stamp of excellence.”
