Cleveland-based Tap Packaging is expanding into digital packaging printing with the purchase of an HP Indigo 30000 Digital Press at Graph Expo, offering new and existing customers faster turnaround times, versioning and wide substrate versatility.

With the press, Tap Packaging will be able to produce folding cartons and rigid set-up boxes for confectioners, food and beverage companies, clothing retailers and advertising agencies in shorter more frequent runs without sacrificing quality.

“As a 108-year-old company, we’ve had to adapt to market challenges, changing customer demands and evolving printing technology to remain competitive,” said J. Anthony Hyland, president and chief executive officer, Tap Packaging. “The HP Indigo 30000 Digital Press is a game-changer in folding carton production, and we’re excited to offer our customers faster turnaround times, increased production flexibility and high print quality, while expanding our capacity to take on new business.”

Demonstrated in HP booth 1913 at Graph Expo, the 29-inch format HP Indigo 30000 Digital Press is designed to address nearly 80 percent of folding carton applications and is built for easy versioning, enabling Tap Packaging to print multiple designs at any run length to keep up with re-designs, seasonal packaging and point-of-sale campaigns.
