Be prepared to see a lot of blue in the year 2020.
Pantone has released its Pantone Color of the Year - "Classic Blue".
Classic Blue is described as "our desire for a dependable and stable foundation on which to build as we cross the threshold into a new era."- according to pantone.com. The Pantone Color of the Year usually sets the trends we will see all year in fashion, beauty, packaging, and design. Classic Blue is calm, peaceful, and reminds me of a clear blue sky at dusk. Pantones from years prior include Living Coral in 2019, Ultra Violet in 2018, and Greenery in 2017. Although this year's theme isn't as "bold" as prior years, the calm and peacefulness of Classic Blue seems to set a great tone for 2020. When Tap Packaging + Design decided to rebrand, we thought very carefully about what colors to use for our color palette. One of the main four colors that we decided on was Pantone 548C, which is similar to Classic Blue. This color pairs very nicely with our bright pop of green, and works as a nice subtle accent color with our grey tones as well. The color Blue can also symbolize trust, loyalty, wisdom, and confidence which fit perfectly with Tap's values.
